Friday 7th October / Carnival Arts Centre (Main Stage) /

Established in 2009, Revellers is Luton’s only community steelband. They aim to raise awareness and dispel stereotypes of steelpan by performing a wide repertoire of music to the public at events and through community participation; develop band members’ musical education and technical ability; represent Luton nationally and internationally at carnivals and related events and; retain, attract and expand a diverse membership. They have performed at a wide range of events from weddings, parties, Whipsnade Zoo and Luton Hoo. They won Best Float and Most Outstanding Performance at Luton Carnival 2016 for their float concept 'Luton is the place for me' about migration to Luton. They are working on creating some exciting fusion pieces with Indian artists for 2017 and want to showcase Luton's talents by participating at Carnivals in England. They are always looking for sponsorship, new members and are available to hire.
